Sibiu, past the six-sight list
The narrowest passage in the Upper Town, two defence towers named after the guilds that manned them, and a zoo for the day the weather does not cooperate — three places the six main sights leave out.
- Stairs Passage
- A covered passage from ~1357–1366, free
- Potters' and Carpenters' Towers
- Two surviving defence towers, €0.38
- Sibiu Zoo
- €3.80, a visit takes 1–1.5 h

The six main sights are what gets seen on day one; these three are what is left once that is done. The Stairs Passage is a seven-century-old covered walkway, the Potters' and Carpenters' Towers are two of the city's once-seven defence towers, and the zoo is the option for a day when squares and museums are not the priority — with a child, or in the rain.
Stairs Passage — the narrowest way through the Upper Town
A covered medieval passage, built roughly between 1357 and 1366, links the Upper and Lower Town through a narrow tunnel between the walls. Crossing it takes 5–10 min, free, with no set hours — it is open whenever the town's gates are.

Potters' and Carpenters' Towers — named after the guilds that defended them
Part of a former ring of seven defence towers, each manned by a craft guild — these two, the potters' and the carpenters', survive and are open to visitors. A combined ticket for both is €0.38, a visit takes 20–30 min, closed Monday.
Sibiu Zoo — for when the weather or the kids change the plan
A small city zoo, an option for a day when rain or a child in the group changes the plan away from squares and museums. Entry €3.80, a visit takes 1–1.5 h.

An order that makes sense
The Stairs Passage sits right on the route between the Small Square and the Bridge of Lies, so it fits naturally into day one of the day-by-day plan. The Potters' and Carpenters' Towers are by the walls, close to the centre — an add-on to day two's afternoon. The zoo is further out and wants its own outing, not an add-on to another destination.

Before you go
Short answers to what people ask most before setting out.
Is there an entry fee for the Stairs Passage?
No. The passage is free and has no set hours, open whenever the town's gates are.
How long does a visit to the Potters' and Carpenters' Towers take?
20–30 min, with a combined ticket for both towers.
Is the zoo worth it without kids along?
Less so — it works best for families or as a rainy-day fallback, not as a destination on its own.
