Sibiu airport (SBZ) has a direct bus link to the centre — Tursib line 11, with its own stop, Aeroport Terminal. City transport covers the rest of the city on the same ticket, while a train runs on to Brașov and a bus to Cluj.
From the airport to the centre
Sibiu airport (SBZ) has its own bus stop — Tursib line 11 calls at 'Aeroport Terminal', opened on 3 June 2024, and runs to the centre on the same ticket as any other city line: €0.66.
Tursib city transport
Tursib covers the city with bus lines, all on the same ticket: €0.66 for one ride, €1.33 for 24 hours. Tickets are bought by app or at a machine and cover every line equally, including line 11 from the airport.
On foot through the Upper Town
Grand Square, Small Square and Huet Square sit within a fifteen-minute walking circle, linked by the Liars' Bridge — no bus is needed between them. Transport becomes useful once you head down into the Lower Town, or further out towards the airport and beyond.
Train to Brașov, bus to Cluj
CFR trains from Sibiu's station run direct to Brașov, about 3 h. To Cluj, no direct train is confirmed — a bus (FlixBus and other operators) covers it, about 2 h.
To day trips out of town
Tursib's intercity line 22 runs to Păltiniș from the Sibiu-Gara stop; suburban line 582 covers Cisnădioara. Transport and timing for Transfăgărășan, Biertan and Sighișoara are covered on the day-trips page.
