Where to go: five more questions →

Cluj Airport (CLJ) is the city's only arrival hub — inside the city limits, not out on the edge. Bus line 5 (or A1E/8) runs to the centre in about 26 min, on the same CTP Cluj ticket used for every other ride in the city.

From the airport to the centre

Cluj Airport (CLJ) has its own bus stop right outside the terminal. Line 5 (alternative A1E or 8) runs to the old centre in about 26 min, for €0.66 — the same fare as any other ride with public operator CTP Cluj. The ticket is bought through the operator's mobile app or a machine, not from the driver.

On foot through the old centre

Union Square, Museum Square and Potaissa Street are all within a pedestrian area — no bus is needed between them. Transport becomes useful once you head further out, towards the Botanical Garden or Cetățuia on the hill above the centre.
