Mistakes everyone makes in Budva
A city-transport ticket covers just one ride, the museum is shut on Mondays, and the boat to the island sits idle outside the season — small things that can eat a whole day here.

Most mistakes in Budva cost time, not money. The wrong day for the museum, a ticket that doesn't exist, a boat that skips the off season — 7 small things below, each with its fix.
Looking for a day bus ticket
Budva has no 24-hour ticket: none, single-ride tickets only. Every ride is paid for on its own, €1.50 (short hop) — anyone counting on a multi-day pass like in bigger cities is in for a surprise at the stop.

The Budva City Museum on a Monday
The museum is shut on Mondays (Monday), and its hours change by day of the week: Tue–Fri 8–21, Sat–Sun 13–21. Arrive on that day and all you see of the citadel is the outside.

A sunbed is not part of free entry
Mogren, Jaz and Slovenska beach are free to enter, but a sunbed is charged separately, per item. Ask the price before you sit down.

The boat to the island out of season
The water taxi to Sveti Nikola island runs in season only, €5 in cash on the jetty. Arrive outside those months expecting a crossing, and it stays onshore.

Driving to the door of a place in the old town
Cars do not enter the old town, booking or no booking. Anyone planning to drive up to the exact address leaves the car outside the walls and carries the luggage the last 100 metres on foot.

The full club scene outside July and August
Arrive in June or September expecting the same evening scene as August, and the town is quiet instead: Top Hill runs its full programme only from late June or early July to the end of August.

Drinks as part of the meal price
The price of an ordinary place's main course (€13–18) does not include drinks. A bill for two with wine or beer alongside every dish quickly outgrows an estimate made from the menu prices alone.
