A night out on Mykonos runs in order: sunset in Little Venice, dinner, then the beach clubs or Cavo Paradiso, where the main sets start after 2 am. The buses do not run until dawn, so you plan the return before you go out.
Sunset in the front row
Little Venice, a row of 18th-century houses on the west waterfront of Hora, is the classic sunset area: cocktail hour starts 7.30–9 pm, and tables by the water are few. In summer you arrive an hour early, or accept the minimum spend, €60–100 per person, for a front-row table. A standard cocktail in a busy town bar costs €12–18, and by the water at sunset it can double.
The Skandinavian Bar
A few minutes' walk inland from the harbour, the Skandinavian Bar has a courtyard bar and an upstairs dance floor where the music leans towards mainstream hits. It is a night out in town, without a beach and without a bus.
Paradise and Super Paradise: the day that turns into night
Paradise and Super Paradise are open-air beach clubs with programmed DJ sets through the summer. A cocktail at a beach club is from €18. The bus from Fabrika runs to Paradise in summer every 30 minutes, until after midnight, and Super Paradise has a shuttle from the same station.
The club in the cliff
Cavo Paradiso is built into the cliff near Paradise, with an open-air dance floor and a pool, where major international DJs headline. The main sets start after 2 am, so plan dinner and the return around that.
Getting back
Public buses run until late in the evening, not until dawn, so after the clubs you are left with a taxi or the club's shuttle. Anyone who will be late in the south of the island should sleep close by, because no bus runs until dawn.
