Day trips from Mykonos
One trip is worth it without a second thought; the other two are for a fourth day.
- Delos
- €20 entry, €25 boat return
- Getting to Delos
- 30–45 min each way
- How long
- half a day

Delos is the one trip that goes into every visit: a boat from the Old Port, half a day, and a site you explore on your own. Tinos and Naxos are full-day ferry trips and need a day of their own.
Worth it, and first
Delos is a small island, by myth the birthplace of Apollo and Artemis, with an archaeological site. The boat leaves from the Old Port and takes 30–45 min each way; the return ticket is €25, and entry is €20 including the museum. Budget €45 per person, for half a day.
Opening hours: 1 Apr–31 Oct: 8–19; November 8–16; closed from 1 December. Closed day: none, except public holidays. A self-guided visit needs no booking; guided tours are arranged in advance.

A full day, and by ferry
Both islands are reached by ferry and need a full day, which puts them on a fourth day or on a trip without beaches. With only three days, Delos remains the one trip worth making.

The next island
Mykonos links easily to another Cycladic island, or to Athens, because the ferries arrive from Piraeus.
