Getting around Mykonos
The airport, two bus stations and the water taxi: how you get from one end of the island to the other.
- From the airport
- KTEL hourly, 9 am to 10 pm
- Between stations
- 15–20 min on foot
- Water taxi
- All-day pass €20

From the airport a KTEL bus runs to the Fabrika station in Hora, and from there you take a bus or the water taxi to the south beaches; the north of the island has fewer lines, and after midnight nothing runs until dawn.
From the airport
Mykonos airport has a bus that runs hourly, 9 am to 10 pm to Fabrika. The ride takes 15–25 min, the ticket is €1–3 and you pay the driver or at the counter. A taxi to town costs €17–25 per ride, split among everyone in the car. The ferry from Piraeus and Rafina is the other way onto the island.
Two stations, two ends of the island
The buses do not leave from one place. Fabrika holds the south: Ornos, Agios Ioannis, Paradise, Paraga, Platis Gialos and Super Paradise. The Old Port holds the north and Elia: Agios Stefanos, Elia and Kalafatis. The stations are 15–20 min on foot apart, so switching from one line to the other means a walk, not a transfer. Tickets are bought from the driver or at the booth at the station; the price depends on distance and runs €1–3. KTEL does not sell day passes.
How often and how late
From May to September the buses link town with many but not all beaches, mostly with a handful of departures a day. The exception is Paradise, whose line in summer runs every 30 minutes, until after midnight. Kalo Livadi and Panormos, on the autumn 2026 timetable, have no bus, and Agios Sostis is reached only by car or taxi.

The water taxi
The south coast is linked by a water taxi: Ornos, Platis Gialos, Paraga, Paradise, Super Paradise, Agrari and Elia. The all-day pass is €20, there are no single tickets. Timetable: 10.00 from Ornos, last return 5.45 pm from Elia. It runs late spring to early autumn. The main station is Platis Gialos, easy to reach by bus.

At night
Public buses run until late in the evening. After the clubs that leaves a taxi or a shuttle run by the club, so accommodation is best chosen close to where you will be going.
