The best time to visit Szentendre
Szentendre is open all year, but Skanzen has a season and the museums keep their own days: the month and the weekday decide what you see.

- Best time
- April–October
- Skanzen
- 31 Mar–25 Oct: Tuesday–Sunday 9–17

Szentendre is open all year, but the season is April–October: the town and Skanzen are both open then. Outside it the town is done as usual and the open-air museum drops out.
If you only pick one month — May. Temperature is the mean over the whole day (not the daily high), and a rainy day has at least 1 mm of rain; averages for 2021–2024.
May falls inside Skanzen's season and the Serbian Church Museum keeps its summer hours, so both the town and the open-air museum can be planned, each on its own day. In winter the Serbian museum's hours shorten, and in January and February it is open only from Friday to Sunday.

Skanzen has a season
Skanzen is open 31 Mar–25 Oct: Tuesday–Sunday 9–17; 27 Oct–1 Nov: 9–16; it is closed on Monday, except Easter and Whit Monday. The ticket is €11.04, and more on festival days.
Museums by day
The Margit Kovács museum is open daily 10–18. Czóbel and Kmetty are open Thursday–Sunday 10–18, and ArtMill Wednesday–Sunday 10–18. On Monday only the Kovács museum is open, so it is the weakest day for the trip.
