The best time to visit Turin
Turin sits on the Po plain, so the weather runs to extremes — a hot summer and a foggy winter — while spring and early autumn hold the middle ground.

In Turin the season changes the temperature and the visibility. The list of what to visit stays the same. May–Jun, Sep–Oct.
Season by season
Temperature is the mean over the whole day (not the daily high), and a rainy day has at least 1 mm of rain; averages for 2021–2024.

Fog and the view from Superga
The Basilica of Superga is open all year, Mon–Fri 10–13.30 and 14.30–18; Sat, Sun and holidays 10–19, but the view of the Alps from the terrace depends on visibility, often reduced by fog in late autumn and winter. So save Superga for a day when the fog lifts.

What runs all year
The Egyptian Museum, Musei Reali, Palazzo Madama, the Mole Antonelliana, the Quadrilatero Romano and the Porta Palazzo market have no season and are visited in any month. The season only changes the temperature on the walk and the visibility from the viewpoints.

Short answers to what people ask most before setting out.
What's the best time to visit Turin?
May–Jun, Sep–Oct.
Does fog spoil a visit to Turin?
Not the visit itself: the museums and squares run regardless of the weather. Fog affects the view from Superga's terrace, which is less reliable in late autumn and winter.
