Turin has its own airport, Turin Caselle (TRN), so there's no changing through another city. From the airport it's SADEM (Arriva) bus to Porta Nuova and Porta Susa stations; alternative is the SFM regional train (lines 4/6/7) to Porta Susa, about 45 min by bus, for €7.50. From there the centre is close, and inside it everything is almost entirely on foot, except the trip up to the Superga hill.
The SADEM bus or SFM train
The SADEM (Arriva) bus runs from the airport to Porta Nuova and Porta Susa stations, about 45 min by bus, for €7.50. The alternative is the SFM regional train (lines 4, 6 or 7) to Porta Susa, about 30 minutes.

A single ride or a day ticket
A single GTT ride runs €1.90. A 24-hour ticket runs €3.70 and pays off from the second ride the same day.
3. From Porta Nuova or Porta Susa to Piazza Castello
From both stations Piazza Castello is reached on foot, or with luggage by a single ride on city transport. From there on, to the Mole and the Egyptian Museum, everything is on foot.

Tram and rack railway to Superga
For the Basilica of Superga, on the hill across the river, take tram 15 to Sassi station, then the old rack railway (line 79), which climbs 3.1 kilometres to the top. The railway doesn't run on Wednesdays — a replacement bus runs that day instead.
