Pannonhalma is worth the trip from Győr: the abbey is on the UNESCO list, and half a day is enough. Vienna is a different decision, a full day, once Győr's centre is already done.
Pannonhalma — worth it
The Benedictine archabbey on its hill has been on the UNESCO list since 1996. Getting there: local MÁV train (line 1268), then a bus or a 30 min walk. One way takes about 25 min and the trip as a whole half a day. Entry is €8.83, on a self-guided visit.
Hours run in three modes: 1 Jun–30 Aug daily 9–18; Mar–May and Sep–Nov Tuesday–Sunday 9–17; Dec–Feb Tuesday–Sunday 10–16; tickets until an hour before closing. Closed: Monday (except in summer); 24–26 and 31 December and 1 January.

Vienna — only with a whole day
Győr is linked to Vienna like this: direct ÖBB Railjet/EuroCity train. A trip to the capital means a full day, so it gets its own day, after Győr's centre, once the cathedral hill is done.

Budapest — on the same line
On the other side of the same line is Budapest (MÁV train, Keleti to Győr). Győr is thus a stop on the way between the two capitals.
