The best time to visit Šibenik
Šibenik gets the most rainy days in November and December, the fewest in July — and Krka and one of the forts change price by season, not just the weather.

Two things pick the month for Šibenik: how hot the climb to the forts gets, and what Krka and Barone charge, since both change price by season. April, May and October carry the lower price for each; July and August bring the most sun and the least rain, but also the hottest climb over bare stone.
Šibenik month by month
Temperature is the mean over the whole day (not the daily high), and a rainy day has at least 1 mm of rain; averages for 2021–2024.
Summer is the hottest and driest
July and August average a daily mean above 26°C and bring the least rain of the year — July has only three rainy days. That is also when the climb to the three forts is hardest, no shade and up stairs, so that part of the day is done early morning, while Krka stays the better afternoon plan, in the shade of the river.

Krka is half price outside summer
The Skradinski Buk ticket drops from €40 to €20 in April, May and October — nearly half, for the same falls and the same transport inside the park. Entry after 3 pm in June, July, August and September is €30.

Winter makes one fortress free
Barone Fortress is free from 1 November to 28 February; in summer, from 26 March to 31 October, entry is €11.50 (26 Mar–31 Oct); free in winter (1 Nov–28 Feb). St Michael's Fortress has no such split — €11.50 holds all year, winter and summer alike.
