Day trips from Pula
Brijuni wants a boat and a fixed slot, Kamenjak a car or bike, Rovinj runs by coach and has its own page.
- Kamenjak
- 20–30 min drive to the cape
- Rovinj
- 40–45 min by coach

Three destinations work from Pula without owning a boat or a car, each its own way. A boat goes to Brijuni, a car or bike to Kamenjak, a coach to Rovinj. Brijuni and Kamenjak both want at least half a day, and Rovinj has its own page, planned as a full day with its own order.
Brijuni
A national park on islands north of Pula, with a Roman villa and a former safari park. The boat from Fažana takes 3.5 h (whole excursion) for the whole visit, priced by season: €35 (Jan–May, Oct–Dec), €50 (Jun–Sep). The ticket ties the guided tour and the island train to a fixed slot; there is no free entry.
Cape Kamenjak
A protected park at Istria's southern tip, with not one hotel. Reached by car or bike via Premantura, 20–30 min drive. Price free on foot/by bike; €20/day by car (Jun–Sep), €10/day (May, part of Sep); the fee applies only to cars and motorbikes, from 2 May to 30 September, and it's free on foot or by bike all year.

Rovinj
A town with its own page, 40–45 min by coach (Arriva/Autotrans), a return ticket €16–20 (2× one-way). It fills a full day because of the Old Town and the Church of St Euphemia at the top of the peninsula.

How long each takes
Boat for Brijuni, car or bike for Kamenjak, coach for Rovinj; travel time one way.

What to know in advance
- Brijuni needs a fixed time slot. The ticket ties both the boat and the island tour to it; arrive late and the departure is missed.
- Kamenjak has no shade and no hotel. Water and sunscreen go in the bag; nothing is sold on site.

Before you go
Short answers to what people ask most before setting out.
Which day trip from Pula is best without organised transport?
Rovinj. It runs by coach, no guide and no advance booking.
Can Kamenjak and Brijuni be done in one day?
Not sensibly. They run in opposite directions with different transport, and each wants at least half a day on its own.
Do you need to book Brijuni in advance?
Yes, the ticket is tied to a fixed boat slot and a guided island tour; there is no free entry.
