Day trips from Hvar
Vis and Bol each want a full day of their own boat; Palmižana is a shorter crossing that already fits inside day one of the base plan.

- Jadrolinija catamaran
- Palmižana
- taxi boat from the town harbour

Two trips need a day and a ticket of their own: Jadrolinija catamaran, line 659 to Vis (40 min) and the same line on to Bol and Zlatni Rat beach (45 min), both €50 (2× €25). The third, Palmižana on the Pakleni islands, is closer and shorter — 10–15 min by taxi boat from the town harbour — and already fits inside day one of the base plan.
Vis, a full day by boat
Jadrolinija catamaran, line 659 to Vis takes 40 min, a return ticket €50 (2× €25). This line runs on a summer timetable, so before a day gets built around it, check the schedule for the exact travel date.

Bol and Zlatni Rat, the same line
The same line that runs to Vis also calls at Bol, 45 min from Hvar for €50 (2× €25) return. Zlatni Rat is the beach Bol is known for beyond Brač island itself; the exact distance from the harbour where the boat docks to the beach isn't confirmed here, so it's worth asking on arrival.

Palmižana, a shorter crossing, the same afternoon
The taxi boat from the town harbour to Palmižana on the Pakleni islands takes 10–15 min for €10–15 (return), short enough to fit into the same afternoon as Fortica fortress, so this crossing already sits inside day one of the base plan.

How long each one takes
Time counts the crossing one way only, not time spent at the destination.

Before you go
Short answers to what people ask most before setting out.
Can Vis and Bol be done on the same day?
No, each needs its own crossing and its own ticket, and both are built as full days.
Is Palmižana a separate day trip?
Not really, since the 10–15 min crossing is short enough to fit into day one of the base plan, alongside Fortica fortress.
Does the boat to Vis run all year?
This line's schedule follows the summer season; outside it, check the current timetable before setting off.
