Where to stay in Mahdia
Mahdia has no confirmed hostel, so the choice is between two named three-star hotels — and between the walled medina and the town beach outside it.

No hostel with a name and a dorm-bed price was found in Mahdia, so accommodation comes down to hotels. Two named three-star hotels, €28–59 per person a night, cover the budget end of the market. Above that, the choice is by quarter: the medina for its walls and quiet, or the side nearer the town beach for a flat walk and the sea on the doorstep.
What stands in for one
What is confirmed are two three-star hotels, El Mouradi Cap Mahdia and El Borj Family Club. Below them the option is unrated private accommodation, which this page doesn't recommend by name.

The medina or the town beach
Come for the medina, and mornings start early, up to the fort before the heat sets in — a room in or right by the medina puts Skifa el Kahla, the mosque and Borj El Kebir within reach, and it's quiet behind the walls at night. The cobbles and narrow lanes make it harder going with a suitcase, so the exact address is worth checking ahead of time, not just the quarter name on a booking site. Come for the sea, and the side nearer the town beach suits better, with the water a couple of minutes away.

For one night
For a single night, stay closer to the two-day plan's route: a room near the medina, since that's where the morning starts, and dinner is already in town after the cape.
- Don't rent a car for the sake of your room. Mahdia is small, everything that matters is on foot or a short taxi ride.
