Prices line by line
All prices are per person.

A mid-range day
The ticket is the median of paid sights in the city. Not included: coffee or breakfast.

A comfortable day
Same logic, with two restaurant meals, a beer and a second ticket at the median price.

From the airport
Bus 100E to central Budapest and the MÁV InterCity train on to Pécs together cost €6.90 (bus) + from €9 (train) and take 3 h 10–4 h 05 — the only public transport route into the city.

Sightseeing tickets
Széchenyi Square and the Zsolnay Quarter grounds are free; the cathedral, the Mosque of Pasha Qasim and the museums each charge their own price. The necropolis runs on one ticket covering all three Roman sites in the city.

What moves the price
Food and transport prices in Pécs depend less on the season than on whether you pay by card or in forint cash — the exchange rate on the spot can be worse than the interbank rate. This page uses the same ECB reference rate as the rest of the site, only to make comparison with other cities easier.
What this sum leaves out
- A hostel or a private room. The sum above counts a 3-star hotel; a cheaper bed changes the daily total, so check the price for your exact dates.
- Villány, Siklós, Harkány or the Abaliget cave. Each of the four day trips has its own transport and ticket price, on top of this city total.
- Coffee before the goulash, or a beer after it. Neither is folded into the hotel-plus-meals total used to compare Pécs with other cities on the site.
