Pécs-Pogány (PEV) has no scheduled passenger service, so the real way into the city is Budapest airport (BUD): bus 100E to central Budapest, then a MÁV InterCity train on to Pécs, 3 h 10–4 h 05 and €6.90 (bus) + from €9 (train) in total. The city itself is covered by the Tüke Busz bus network, on the same ticket.
From Budapest airport to Pécs
Pécs-Pogány (PEV) has no scheduled passenger service — the entry point is Budapest airport (BUD). From the airport, bus 100E runs to central Budapest (Deák Ferenc tér), and from there the MÁV InterCity train continues to Pécs. Together: 3 h 10–4 h 05, €6.90 (bus) + from €9 (train).

City buses — Tüke Busz
The city is covered by the Tüke Busz bus network. An e-ticket is €1.38 (e-ticket), €1.66 (from driver); buying from the driver costs more. For a day with several rides, the 24-hour ticket is €3.59.

On foot through the centre
Széchenyi Square, the cathedral and the Mosque of Pasha Qasim sit within a fifteen-minute walking circle — a first day in the city needs no bus at all. Riding becomes useful once you head further out, towards the Zsolnay Quarter or out of town.

To the Zsolnay Quarter and out of town
The Zsolnay Quarter is reachable on foot from the centre. For trips out of town — the Villány wine route, Siklós, Harkány, Abaliget Cave — the bus ride runs between thirty-five and fifty minutes each way, depending on the destination.

Pécs has a runway on the map (PEV), but no scheduled passenger service — search flights to Budapest instead.
