Most of the High Tatras is free to visit: Štrbské Pleso, the Cold Stream Waterfalls and hiking through TANAP charge no entry. What costs money is accommodation, food, the TEŽ train and, at a changing rate, the cable cars to Skalnaté Pleso and Lomnický štít. The table below lists each item separately, except the two cable cars with no fixed price.

Whatever has a fixed price stays cheap: €4 (€5 at the counter) per TEŽ train ride, a set menu €6.50–13.90. What has no fixed price are the two cable cars heading north — the fare depends on the day and how many seats the GOPASS system has free, so it isn't published in advance; check on the spot or on the cable car's own site before setting off.
