Zlatibor in 2 days
The first day loops Stopića cave and the Gostilje waterfall together by car, the second leaves the gondola up Tornik for the morning and Mačkat for the afternoon.
- How long
- 2–3 days for the cave
- Getting to Zlatibor
- bus from Belgrade bus station
- Getting around both days
- A car

Beyond the centre Zlatibor needs a car: bus from Belgrade bus station gets you into town in about 4 h, but there's no regular line on to the cave, the waterfall or Tornik. centre–Stopića cave 19 km · centre–Gostilje waterfall 25 km · gondola to Tornik 9 km — close enough that both days run without rushing, while Sirogojno and Mokra Gora stay a separate trip.
Stopića cave and the Gostilje waterfall
Drive from the centre to Stopića cave: entry €3.40, opening hours 6 Apr–23 Oct 9:30–18; winter to 16:30. Metal walkways put in in 2015 lead to the travertine basins, so the visit is easy for children too.
On to the Gostilje waterfall, in the same direction: entry €2.10, opening hours summer 9:30–19:30; winter 9–17.
Lunch in Gostilje or on the way back towards the centre — €9.28–13.54 for a main course.
Back to the centre; a free afternoon by Ribnica lake.
Neither the cave nor the waterfall has a bus link to the centre — anyone not driving rents a car from €14–36 a day, or joins the organised trip from the Zlatibor tourist office, which combines the cave, Sirogojno and the waterfall.

The Tornik gondola and Mačkat
The Gold Gondola from the centre, past Ribnica lake, up to Tornik, €17 return; no, on-site or online.
The view from Tornik and a walk before heading down. The gondola has no fixed closed day: none (periodic technical inspection), so it's worth checking before the trip.
Back to the centre, lunch.
A drive to Mačkat, the village between Užice and Zlatibor where Zlatibor pršuta is cured; entry to the village is free, only the pršuta itself is paid for, at the producer.
- Leaving late. The cave and the waterfall are closer to each other than to the centre; setting off after ten costs the morning light at the waterfall.
- Skipping the check. The gondola closes now and then for technical inspection — worth checking it's running before day two.

Before you go
Short answers to what people ask most before setting out.
Are two days enough for the cave, the waterfall and the gondola?
2–3 days for the cave, waterfall and gondola; Sirogojno and Mokra Gora need a further day or two as a separate trip.
Is there a bus to the cave and the waterfall?
No. There's no regular line, so a car is the only way to reach both in the same day.
Does the gondola run every day?
Almost always — there's no fixed closed day, only occasional technical inspections — so it's worth checking before the trip if timing matters.
