One day in Mokra Gora runs one way: train first, village after. In summer the Nostalgija runs the full route, leaving at 10:30 and 13:30, and the full loop with stops at the stations takes about 2 h 20 (full train loop). Start with the village instead, and the morning train is already gone by the time you reach the station.
Train in the morning, village after
Arrival in Mokra Gora — direct bus (FlixBus), once daily from Belgrade takes about 4 h 13, if you're not driving.
Departure of the Nostalgija train on the Šargan Eight — two regular departures in summer, 10:30 and 13:30 (a third at peak season); ticket 1,500 RSD summer, 1,000 RSD winter (€12.78/€8.52), booking recommended.
End of the ride — about 2 h 20 (full train loop) on the train, with stops along the line.
Drvengrad, Emir Kusturica's village — entry 300 RSD adults, 200 RSD children (€2.56/€1.70), free for overnight guests.
Back towards Belgrade, or an overnight in the village — a guest at the Drvengrad hotel enters free the next day too.
Take the 13:30 departure and the day ends later, leaving less time for Drvengrad — or the village shifts to the next morning, with a night in between.
This schedule holds for the summer period, 30 March–31 October, when the train runs the full route. In winter it runs a shorter route to Jatare station — the full seasonal timetable is on the next page.

Before you go
Short answers to what people ask most before setting out.
Do the train and Drvengrad fit into one day?
They do — the 10:30 departure leaves the whole afternoon for the village; the 13:30 one leaves less time.
Should the train ticket be booked ahead?
recommended — tickets sell out fast in summer.
What if you stay overnight in Drvengrad?
A guest at the village hotel enters Drvengrad free the next day too, so day two needs no new ticket for the village.
