Month by month
If you only pick one month — May. Temperature is the mean over the whole day (not the daily high), and a rainy day has at least 1 mm of rain; averages for 2021–2024.

Hours change with the months
The cathedral and Neapolis do not keep the same hours all year. The cathedral: March and October 9–17.30; April, June and September 9–18.30; July and August 9–19, and its closed day is Sunday (May–September). Neapolis has a schedule that changes even within September: 1–15 Sep: 8.30–19.15 (ticket office to 18.30); 16–30 Sep: 8.30–18.45 (ticket office to 17.30). The park is in the open air. In summer you go in the first hour after opening.

The sea and the beaches
The beaches are open from May to September, and July and August bring the biggest crowds. Anyone coming for the sea picks May, June or September and avoids the July and August peak.
