What Florence costs
In Florence it's tickets, not accommodation, that set the budget — the Uffizi and the Accademia together cost more than a night in a hostel.
- Hostel
- €16–37 per person, a dorm bed
- The Uffizi
- €25, the most expensive single ticket
- Set lunch
- €12–18

A day in Florence is felt most on tickets: the Uffizi alone is €25, almost double a hostel bed at €16–37. Transport barely counts in the centre, since everything is on foot, and the tourist tax is €6 per night per person (up to 7 nights) per night in a hotel. The full breakdown is in the table below.
Prices item by item
Everything per person, in euros. The day is the same basket across the site: a bed, two meals, city transport and admissions.
The bill climbs on tickets. The Uffizi and the Accademia together cost more than a night in a hostel, and adding the Pitti Palace with Boboli pushes museums alone past fifty euros. Meals give back the most — a set lunch instead of a restaurant dinner, lampredotto from a stall instead of a sit-down meal — since transport in the centre is barely a cost at all.

The airport carries the difference
From Florence airport the T2 tram is €2, the same fare as any city-transport ride. Anyone who lands in Pisa for a cheaper flight pays two extra tickets — PisaMover and the train to Florence — so the saving on the flight is partly eaten by transport.
