Day one stays in the Teplá valley: from the Mill Colonnade to the Vřídlo, with a spouted cup bought along the way, then the Diana funicular to the lookout and a tour through the Moser and Becherovka factories, which only run on weekdays. Day two depends on the date — the bus to Loket runs only on Sundays, to Bečov nad Teplou only on Saturdays, both only 1 April – 30 October, so the day follows that schedule.
The colonnades and the factories
The Mill Colonnade, five mineral springs under one roof, free entry.
Along the way, any shop sells a lázeňský pohárek, a spouted cup to drink from, with a first warm lázeňská oplatka wafer from a stall, €0.82.
The Hot Spring Colonnade, where the Vřídlo spring sends up a jet as high as 12 metres, the view free summer 6–19, winter 6:30–18.
The Diana funicular up to the lookout and tower above the Grandhotel Pupp, return ticket €6.76 (return).
Walk back down past the Grandhotel Pupp, a working hotel since 1701, seen from outside or the lobby.
The Moser glassworks, a tour with a glass-blowing demonstration, €15.16, only on weekdays before 2 pm — book the slot ahead.
Lunch, a set menu €5.29–7.75.
The Jan Becher Museum, a tour through Becherovka production with a tasting, €11.89, closed Monday.
A free afternoon along the colonnades, or a walk up to the Jelení skok viewpoint above the Diana tower.
Moser without the demonstration. The glass-blowing tour only runs on weekdays; Saturdays and Sundays only the museum display is open, no slot needed.
A day trip, by the day of the week
Bus from the Tržnice stop — the direction depends on the day, and only runs 1 April – 30 October.
Visiting the destination: a chateau, a fortress or a spa, depending on the day (below).
Bus back to Karlovy Vary, with a free afternoon for another walk along the colonnades.
Line 91 runs to Bečov nad Teplou, about 35 min, where the chateau holds the Reliquary of St Maur. Ticket €3.28.
Line 92 runs to Loket, about 20 min, to the fortress on a rock above the river Ohře. Ticket €3.28.
Bečov and Loket don't run on those lines. Instead, a bus runs to Jáchymov, about 29 min, to the radon spa and radium museum, with no restriction by day.
