Getting around Dubrovnik
The Platanus shuttle runs straight to the Old Town with no change, and inside the walls it is on foot only.
- From the airport
- Platanus shuttle
- One ride
- €1.73 (app), €2.50 (from driver)
- 24-hour ticket
- €5.31

Dubrovnik Airport, Čilipi (DBV) is 30 min to the Old Town from the city on the Platanus shuttle, at €10 per person. Inside the city itself you walk within the walls, and Libertas buses reach Lapad, Gruž and Pile, all on the same ticket, cheaper through the app than from the driver.
From the airport to the centre
Dubrovnik Airport, Čilipi (DBV) sends the Platanus shuttle after every landing, straight to the Old Town: 30 min to the Old Town, at €10 per person, one way. The alternative is the regular Libertas city bus, slower but at a similar price.

City transport — Libertas
Libertas buses connect Pile with Lapad and Gruž. One ride is €1.73 (app), €2.50 (from driver), cheaper through the app than paid in cash to the driver; a gap that adds up over a few rides a day. A 24-hour ticket is €5.31 and pays off from the fifth ride.

Inside the walls — on foot only
The Old Town has no traffic. Everything is steps and lanes, from the Stradun to every sight on the main list. A bus only becomes useful once you leave the walls, towards Lapad, Gruž or back to the airport.

To Srđ and Lokrum
The cable car to the top of Srđ leaves from a station just above the walls, about four minutes' ride. Lokrum is reached by boat, from the City Harbour on the eastern side of the Old Town. A catamaran to Korčula also leaves from Gruž port, also reachable by Libertas bus — a different harbour and a different timetable from the Lokrum boat.

What to check in advance
- The app before the ride. A ticket through the app costs less than one from the driver — buy it before you board.
- Bus 6 after midnight. The Lapad line does not run all night.
- A straight line is not a road. The figure that matters is 30 min to the Old Town. The distance as the crow flies does not help here.
