Sirogojno is done as half a day from Zlatibor, not a separate full-day trip — this plan follows the complex in the order you actually walk it, from the entrance to the church, so nothing gets skipped or doubled back on.
Arriving from abroad, the entry point is Belgrade airport (BEG): Coach (Lasta etc.) to Zlatibor, about 4 h for €14.91. Everything below assumes the traveller is already in Zlatibor.
yes — there is no regular bus between Zlatibor and Sirogojno; go by car, taxi or an organised tour.
Half a day in Staro Selo
Set off from Zlatibor towards Sirogojno — by car, taxi or organised tour.
The visit starts at the first homestead: a house with its vajat cabins, a dairy hut and a bread oven. The ticket covers the whole complex, including the church: €2.60.
The second homestead, a larger house with cabins for young married couples and a root cellar, sits right beside it.
The herdsmen's camp, at the edge of the complex: two huts and a sheepfold, close to how a herdsman actually lived beside the flock.
The craft workshops — cooper's, potter's, blacksmith's and basket-maker's — work with the tools laid out within reach.
The last stop is the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, from 1764, under the same ticket.
Seeing the whole site takes 1–2 h, leaving time to get back to Zlatibor before lunch.
None of the five stops takes advance booking: the first homestead (no), the second homestead (no), the herdsmen's camp (no), the craft workshops (no) and the church (no) — the ticket is bought at the gate. The same goes for closing days: none of them has a fixed closed day, all year — only the opening hours shift by season.
