Where to go: five more questions →

The day starts with a train from Gdańsk, about 30 min to a station on the side of town opposite the castle. From there it's a walk through the old town, with a short detour onto the bridge over the Nogat, to the castle, which takes up most of the day, then back along the river to the train home.

Frequently asked

Before you go

Short answers to what people ask most before setting out.

Can Malbork be done in a single day?

Yes, with the train back to Gdańsk the same afternoon. A night here only makes sense for the lit-up castle or the night tour, which this plan doesn't cover.

Does anything need booking ahead?

Not for this loop. None of its tickets has a fixed time slot; buy on the spot or online before setting off.
