St Florian
A baroque Premonstratensian monastery, known for its organ — Anton Bruckner was organist here and is buried in the crypt beneath it. bus 410 (Postbus) takes about 27 min, and half a day is enough for a visit. The ticket is €26.50 (Freizeit-Ticket OÖ, valid for up to 2 people): the Freizeit-Ticket Oberösterreich only works on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, and the same fare covers two; on a weekday it's a single ticket instead.

Gmunden on Lake Traunsee
A small town at the northern end of the lake: Gmundner Keramik, with its distinctive green stripes, takes its name from here, and Ort Castle on a small island is linked to the shore by a wooden bridge. train takes about 27 min, and half a day covers a walk by the lake and the town itself. Same ticket, €26.50 (Freizeit-Ticket OÖ, valid for up to 2 people).

Hallstatt
A village on Lake Hallstatt, part of the Hallstatt–Dachstein/Salzkammergut Cultural Landscape, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. train, with a change takes about 1 h 54, so a full day is needed for the journey and the visit. Same ticket, €26.50 (Freizeit-Ticket OÖ, valid for up to 2 people).

The Freizeit-Ticket Oberösterreich is valid only on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, and covers up to two people on one ticket; weekdays need a single fare instead.
